On 17th April 2009 SEA was awarded by ACERGY MS Limited the post-trenching work of the 34"CARAGUATUBA pipeline, for the Mexilhao Project in Brazil.

On the 14th February 2011, SEA Brasil completed 21.609m of pipe trenching works in Guanabara bay, where an 8” and a 12” pipelines were post-trenched successfully for GLP Consorcio, whose final client is PETROBRAS.

The GEO PTM is the latest generation of trenching machines, designed and built to be particularly adapt for loose to medium dense seabeds. Compared to previous models, this machine can be equipped with large cutting wheels in order to reach deeper trench depths (up to 4m per pass).

ARRIVAL OF RECOVER MACHINE!

The RECOVER machine has been designed and built to carry out back-filling activities of loose seabeds. The trenched material deposited on the sides of the trench during the post-trenching works, is conveyed into the trench by two arms equipped with jetting nozzles.

FILANOVSKY PROJECT UPDATE

SEA has successfully completed the trenching of 17,648m of a 12” pipeline to 1,9m TOP, as well as the trenching of 5,599m of a 16” pipeline to 1,9m TOP for the Filanovsky project. SEA also carried out remedial works and transition sections in segments initially trenched by another Contractor.

The LEO 2 PTM has been specially built for SEA’s latest project. It is the latest generation of post-trenching machines designed and built to be particularly adapt for loose to medium/hard seabeds. It can be deprived of its ballast tank in order to operate in much shallower waters.
