One interesting characteristic of the Post-Trenching Machines is the ability to operate in only a few centimetres of water and to approach the shoreline.
This allows the PTM to carry out works right onto the beach face.
This innovative method eliminates the inconvenience of pre-trenching and the possibility of infilling of the excavation by wave action.
This approach helps reduce very expensive stand-by time as well as costly pipe or cable laying spread.
